The 3M™ Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6000 Drop Down Series helps provide protection against particulates and a wide variety of gases and vapors when used with approved cartridges and filters. The facepiece incorporates a unique drop-down head harness system so that workers outside the contaminated area can more easily communicate without totally removing the respirator. It is designed for workers who wear hardhats, including hardhats with liftable faceshields. With this system, the facepiece drops straight down onto the chest by detaching the neck strap. When properly fitted and used with approved 3M™ cartridges and filters, this respirator helps provide protection at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). Recommended applications include painting, welding, abatement, woodworking, metal working, automotive manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, petrochemical, nuclear, utilities, and primary metals.
NIOSH, a Federal government regulatory agency, has tested and approved the 6000DD Series with 3M cartridges, filters or supplied air systems to help reduce breathing certain airborne contaminants. This half facepiece respirator may be used with 3M™ 2000 Series, 5000 Series, 6000 Series, and 7093 filters, cartridges, and accessories.
The 3M™ half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6000DD provides respiratory protection to workers who wear hardhats. Workers do not need to remove the hardhat to remove the facepiece. Simply detach the neck strap and the facepiece drops down to the chest. This respirator eliminates the tendency of workers to wear the head cradle over the hardhat.
