Description
The Single Way Underground Valve (SWUGV-01) is a low-pressure underground fire hydrant valve designed for water and natural liquid applications, with a maximum working temperature of 70°C. Built for fire protection systems, this valve is ideal for underground installations requiring reliable and durable water flow control.
Constructed from high-quality cast iron with brass couplings, the underground valve is designed for long-term performance under demanding conditions. The handwheel is made of grey cast iron (BS EN 1561) and is BLACK painted, while the body features a RED powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance.
Key features include a replaceable gland seal, which allows maintenance under pressure when the valve is fully closed. The disc facing rubber is also of a replaceable type, ensuring extended usability and easy servicing.
The valve operates at a nominal pressure of up to 12 bar, making it suitable for low-pressure fire hydrant systems. It comes with a 2.5″ brass outlet designed to BS 750 London round thread standards and a 3″ flange inlet (150 Class, 152 PCD) for secure connections.
With its sturdy design, ease of maintenance, and reliable operation, the Single Way Underground Valve is a trusted solution for fire protection and water supply networks in industrial and municipal applications.
